Customs: Russia’s foreign trade surplus falls 16% in 2019
MOSCOW, Feb 11 (PRIME) -- Russia’s foreign trade surplus fell by 16% to U.S. $177.2 billion in 2019, the Federal Customs Service said on Tuesday.
Exports decreased by 6% to $424.6 billion in the period. Fuel and energy goods accounted for 62.1% of exports with exports of these types of goods to the non-CIS countries accounting for 66.9%.
Imports rose by 2.7% to $247.4 billion. Cars and machinery accounted for 46.2% of imports.
